A Short Story About Intimacy
(2016) There’s a painting by Felix Valloton from 1927 called Man and Woman.
Two bodies are intertwined. An embrace or a desertion? Is it confrontational? A desire or struggle? Giving, refusing? Choreography or masquerade?
Intentionally, nothing is clear. In this series I wanted to explore the spirit of that painting, the tension between two extremes that all couples know; the fear of being abandoned & the need to exist. The intimacy.
