There’s a painting by Felix Valloton from 1927 called Man and Woman.
Two bodies are intertwined. Is it confrontational ? A desire or struggle?
An embrace or a desertion ? Giving, refusing ? Choreography or masquerade?
Nothing is clear.
In this series I wanted to explore the spirit of that painting, the tension, the abandon.
