A Short Story About Intimacy
There’s a painting by Felix Valloton from 1927 called Man and Woman.
Two bodies are intertwined. They are naked. Is it an embrace or a desertion?
A desire or struggle? Giving, refusing? Choreography or masquerade?
Intentionally, I think Valloton makes sure nothing is clear.
I’m interested in recreating the spirit of that painting. The tension between two extremes; the fear of being abandoned & the need to exist as an independant being.
The intimacy that all couples know.
